Content Marketing Strategy & Development

WellSky is a technology company that develops software for health and human services organizations. The company evolves health systems' electronic medical records (EMR) function, as well as enhances documentation and reporting of patient care and support to improve coordination of care and people's overall well being. I have been a contractor doing content marketing strategy, as well as writing and editing of a variety of content to advance WellSky's brand, it expertise and its product portfolio. I've written and edited white papers, blog posts, landing pages, advertising copy, collateral and e-mail copy.  I will provide examples of this content upon request.

Media Relations & Communication

I re-started a dormant media relations program for Sprint Business that generated more than 80 articles in technology and business media about Sprint's wireless, wire line and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and topics targeting chief information officers, technology leaders and business leaders. Below are a few of those headlines.

Media Relations

Below are examples of results of media relations that we generated, including a New York Times article on how we provided AMC Theatres an employee benefit through more variety of fresh and healthy food. I led proactive media relations; responded to media inquiries from consumer, business and trade media; and executed crisis aversion tactics with editorial media. National and Market-by-Market Media Relations Campaigns

Building a National Brand for a Mutual Fund

During a four-year period, our team generated national media exposure in business and financial media such as CNBC, Forbes, Business Week, Bloomberg News, etc. for UMB Scout Funds to build a national identity and presence for the mutual fund company. Assets under management grew by 45% in that span, partially due to the increased presence and identity.

Even Cockroaches are Newsworthy!

During a three-year period, we launched Combat Roach Control Systems and generated editorial exposure in the New York Times, the "Tonight Show," CNN and myriad other media across the country. We did media tours in 30 cities that resulted in more than a 50% immediate increase in sales. We debugged the U.S. Capitol; and held a "Largest Roach in the Nation" contest, which resulted in the winning roach being enshrined in the Smithsonian.

High-Profile Exposure for Sunglasses and Binoculars

During a seven-year period, our team created national exposure for Bushnell Outdoor Products, and Bolle and Serengetti Sunglasses in consumer, lifestyle and entertainment media such as GQ, People, US Weekly, Time, Outdoor Life, etc. The exposure averaged more than 300% ROI in terms of ad equivalency.

America's Students Write Their Way to Super Bowls

We activated Sprint's sponsorship with the NFL with a nationwide essay contest on sportsmanship, with 100,000-plus students participating and national media coverage in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, as well as national syndicated TV and print exposure. We also gained coverage in all 30 NFL markets as well as free PSAs and promotional exposure in many of them. The program resulted in a more than 200% ROI in terms of ad equivalency and was continued with the U.S Ski Team for three more years.
